BANGKOK TRAVEL VLOG!

Traveling has always been my passion, and being able to travel all over the world is one of my all time dreams and desires.

Last March 21-24, 2013, Me and my family traveled all the way to Bangkok for quick weekend vacation. My family did not expect much from BKK since we have always traveled on countries that are highly modernized such as that of Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore, and traveling to Bangkok may bore my father since he is not a fan of historical sceneries. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the trip! I can say that although Bangkok may be less modernized than Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore, the cityscape is still a lot better than our own country, Philippines :D

There are a lot of things that you can do in Bangkok! Most often than not, it would be... Shopping! Bangkok is just a huge Shopping Haven! Although I did not have much time to shop during our trip due to time constraints, I still was able to have a feel of the BKK Shopping Madness that they say. It was really an amazing experience, especially considering that I am into shopping a lot. I would definitely come back to Bangkok and just SHOP for one whole trip! Since I have already visited the tourist spots during our family vacation, when I come back, it'll be all about shopping! I have my fingers crossed for that!
While I was in Bangkok, I was able to vlog a bit whenever I remember to do so ('cause I always forget to snap on my digital camera for vlogging since always have my DSLR with me in taking photographs). Nevertheless, here are the videos of the compilation of clips i took during our trip!

DAY 1
The first day in Bangkok was spent only in the hotel, since our flight was scheduled at night. We were fetched by my father's good friend from work and sent us to our hotel. The infamous BKK trafffic kind of wasted our time since we arrived at 7:20pm (8:20pm Philippine Time), yet we arrived at around 10:00pm (11:00pm Philippine Time) at the hotel. All we had to do was buy some instant food (7 eleven was less than a minute walk from our hotel), appreciate our hotel room by taking photos (yes we are that giddy) and rest all night long. Yes, there is a time difference which we only realized upon landing in Bangkok, since the flight attendant informed us of such information.

DAY 2

On our second day in Bangkok, we woke up early (around 5:30am) and enjoyed the buffet breakfast  served in our hotel. We were fetched by our official driver of the trip at 7:00am, Mr. K Cheep, although we call him Ser Cheep for fun, if you watch the Filipino TV Show "Please Be Careful with My Heart"  you'd probably know why.

We headed directly to Ayutthaya, Thailand, which is 1-hour drive from Bangkok, to witness ancient ruins and, ride an elephant! It was a very fun experience for me, good thing I vlogged about it!

It 30 minutes past 11 o' clock when we decided to proceed to Dream World, which is an amusement park. I know we seem too old for such but me and my brother are really fond of amusement parks as we love to ride daring rides such as roller coasters, since we are extreme adrenaline junkies!

At night, we met up with one of my father's good friends at work, and we had dinner at Ko Dang Talay with him at Asiatique The Riverfront.

We had some drinks after in an Irish Bar. We also strolled a bit since Asiatique The Riverfront coincidentally also has a night market which was cool.

Tired as we are, we immediately decided to get some rest as we arrived at the airport.

DAY 3

Our third day was the most stressful of all, not only because we don't have Ser Cheep with us on this day, but it was an "extremely so freaking HOT day"! I cannot describe in a worse way how hot it was, the sun was literally burning our skin and it was too much to handle. We were scheduled for Temples on that day, and there was barely a shade in those areas that could protect us from the sun. My parents had to just stay in a shade and just sat there while me and my brother are the only ones who strolled the Grand Palace & Temple of Emerald Buddha vicinity. Yes, it was very hot, but I just didn't mind it is only once in a lifetime that I am able to visit this place, therefore, I should enjoy it and make sure that I really witness all of the good stuff, and by good stuff I actually mean, the beautiful temples made of gold, rhinestones and diamonds everywhere, amazing architectural designs, artworks and what have you. Me and my brother had fun taking photos and touring around.

Since it was too hot and we couldn't bare it anymore, we decided not to go to the Temple of Reclining Buddha (maybe next time), so we just quickly rode a taxi and went to the Siam Paragon for some ventilation. It actually took us an more like an hour to arrive there due to some traffic.

When we arrived there, we immediately had some lunch at the food hall of Siam Paragon, and afterwards we strolled the area, since the Siam area is very much equipped with malls and shopping centers beside each other.

The last mall we went to was Terminal 21 which is one of the newest malls in Bangkok. We rode a train going there also know as the BTS, and it took as i think 2 stops to arrive there at the Asok station which is directly connected to the Terminal 1 mall. We once again strolled and eventually had dinner there with my father's good friend and headed to the hotel to rest.

DAY 4 (Last day)

On our last day, we had to savor our last buffet breakfast and check out. Our last day is dedicated for shopping and strolling, hence, after checking out we immediately headed to Platinum Mall which is a famous Fashion Mall in Bangkok. It was a HUGE mall full of fashion finds! I actually went semi-crazy, and due to time constraints we had to leave and went to another mall which is just in front of our hotel, the MBK Centre. We had our last minute shopping there and went back to the hotel after, since we are going to be fetched  by Ser Cheep at 4:00pm. Fortunately, on our way to our hotel, I had time to pick out some of the famous street foods in Bangkok, and they are really good!

Heading to the airport, as usual, I was reminiscing on how much fun I had for the entire trip, since the airport was around a 45-minute drive from our hotel. When we arrived at the airport, I had to thank Ser Cheep for everything since he is so nice, (the nicest driver ever!) and he was very patient with us for the whole trip although he can only speak little english. Had to take a photo with him for the last time, though it was a fail, since my father took a blurry shot (haha!), nevertheless, that actually sums up my whole Bangkok trip.

That was fast, eh? In the airport, we just chilled for a while waiting for boarding and arrived at Cebu. We had to wait for our flight to Davao which is around 6 hours from our arrival to Cebu (Bummer!), we had to sleep at the airport since the lodge we booked for that day crazily mixed up the bookings and had no room for us to spare (although we booked earlier before the trip).

Nevertheless, I enjoyed our whole Bangkok trip! And I am very much looking forward to coming back there for some shopping!

Hope you enjoyed this blog post!

Thanks for dropping by!
