Meet and Greet with myglamchildjaja & MegaAnneLim!

Month of March screams Meet and Greet!

Last month, I was able to experience one of the most unforgettable events in my life... My very first Meet and Greet! Jaja of myglamchildjaja messaged me last February that she is coming to Davao for the month of March for a family vacation; therefore, it was a very nice opportunity for us to meet personally, conducting a “Meet and Greet” as most bloggers call it. I was quite nervous for some reason since it was my first time. Nevertheless, I said yes! 

Having planned this meetup with Jaja, I had to contact my fellow youtubers from Davao for them to come and join us, since I believe in the saying “The more the merrier!” Hence, I beeped Anne of MegaAnneLim and she immediately said yes! I also tried to contact Emafe of PinkieRiceGurl and she really wanted to come but here residence if faraway from our meet up place.

We all met up at SM Lanang Premier, and we decided to dine and chill at Blugre Cafe where all the chitchat and building friendship started.

We spent the whole night there talking about what have you about makeup, beauty and life. We were all laughing and having so much fun as we all are so kalog or perky in our own little ways.

It was actually my first time to personally meet fellow youtubers, and I can say that it was definitely a fun and wonderful experience. Meeting people with the same interests is really fun. You get to talk about a lot of things, definitely all about makeup! Gaining friends and sharing your life with one another was an amazing experience. With only minutes after official meet up, we already feel like we have known each other since like forever! As Anne would say, it felt as though we are her kababatas or childhood friends, which I definitely agree on!

Overall, it was a wonderful, fun and amazing experience! And I am definitely looking forward to meeting more YouTube beauty vloggers/bloggers in the near future!

Valentine's Day Makeup Look

Valentine's Day is just around the corner. It's one of the happiest days out of the 365 days of the year, where in people share love to one another especially to loved ones.

A lot of people have misconceptions & miscunderstandings with regard to the meaning of this occasion. I have noticed some people who are "bitter" as they call themselves for this event of the year. Let us not forget that Valentine's Day is not all about having a date with the opposite sex, or being in a relationship, Hearts Day is all about love - love that is not only shared between couples, but as well as families, friends and fellowmen.

So if you're single and not in a relationship as of the moment, do not be "bitter", this occasion is something you should be spending with the most important people in your life that you love, and it does not require to be a boyfriend/girlfriend, husband/wife.

Let us all enjoy this important event of our lives, a day spent for love, a day offered to our one true love - God.

It was actually my first time working a photoshoot with "on the spot-acquainted" photographers :D

It all started when Celine Conanan invited me on a photoshoot with Anne Marielle Gantuangco. Without any hesitation I said yes! Little did I know, the photographers are Celine's cousins and I just knew that fact on the spot!

Upon arriving to the meeting area, I felt so shy when Celine said that her cousins are going to be the photographers. I was used to having photoshoots with friends and my good friend Jose Luis Pacquiao who is our barkada's official photographer.

Nevertheless, I had to face the situation :D 

I was really quite shy at first but eventually I had fun! Tron & Mike were very awesome in their passion for photography and they were really nice working with. They were really friendly and approachable. Overall, it was such a fun experience and the photos turned out really good! I can say that they are really good with the craft.

As an aspiring professional photographer myself, I really hope I could also improve my photography skills someday and have more photography equipment.

I hope I could post more photos soon! As soon as they're done editing :) These are only some of the shots we took on our photoshoot.

Confessions of Newbie in the Blogging Industry

Hey there! Well, I must probably begin my blog by welcoming my readers (if I have any). You may be reading this blog right now because, you're my friend, you know me, or maybe you're just really curious ;) Haha. I'd love to have readers!

I must say I'm quite speechless having to start my very own blog. I have prepared quite a bit about it though. Creating accounts, layouts, etcetera etcetera... In other words I was back to zero, not that I was really a full time blogger back then. I was able to have my own blog back in the day during high school though It did not really make any sense (don't judge, I was too young to even care).

Well, now that I have this chance to prove that I have something to give out for blogging, I finally made an account. Thanks to my ever supportive blogger friend, Anne Marielle Gantuangco also known as "The Bubbly Kitty", and of course my group of friends a.k.a. barkada, Team LG.

Enough with the rambling! Let's get into the real deal!

I started loving Makeup almost a year ago from today, I really can't remember how I ended up watching beauty videos on Youtube, but the next thing I knew, I was glued to it!

Whenever I come home or have spare time I always visit Youtube and watch the new videos posted by my favorite beauty gurus, and I actually watch every single one, whatever it takes (it takes a lot of my time). In other words, I got ADDICTED. I even started following them in other social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Blogger. From then on, It has been my everyday routine to watch Beauty related videos on Youtube, and as time passed, I find myself watching Daily Vlogs of these beauty gurus as well! I was really GLUED! I know too much of anything is not good, but it really made me happy watching these videos, that it became a hobby and a form of leisure. And believe it or not, up to this time, I still feel the same. Maybe I'm just better now I can now prioritize other more important matters than just watching videos.

I really learned a lot from these videos and put everything to application.
Practice makes perfect.

After almost a year of passion for makeup, I can say that I have really improved and learned a lot of things. All thanks to my favorite Beauty Bloggers:

Michelle Phan, Say Tioco Artillero, ItsJudyTime,

and all the local Youtube Vloggers including

Teena Arches, Noe Mae Villagonzalo, Ana Victorino and many more.

I suggest you follow them and you'll definitely learn all about makeup!

My burning passion for makeup has driven me to keep on practicing and to keep on trying out new products even if it entails getting broke :D Learning is a continuous cycle and you can never know everything. If you have the passion in doing something, eventually, you will perform better and better as you strive your way to success.

Once you have a true passion to do something you love, you would not feel the "work" of what you are doing, 'cause doing what you love is bliss.

Quote me on that! ;)

Forgive me if my first blog post is just so newbie-ish. I'm still new in the Blogging world and I have yet to explore and find my way to "right" blogging path (if there is such). I promise to do better in the coming posts! It's a promise, meaning I won't break it! ;)
